TALIBAN BRAHMIN.

The Taherik-e-Taliban in a video released by it has purportedly shown senior commander ADNAN RASHID , a former Pakistan Air Force official who was involved in attack on on President Musharraf listing the atrocities committed by Army to include " Killing of millions" and " Raping of own sisters " during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971 continued to accuse Army officers as "Brahmins" treating their juniors as " Shudra ". Perhaps an unwitting admission of inheriting social system of enemy. Most unexpected quarters to use Hindu Indian social system to seek parallel with its own.
Coming from an organisation taking pride in destruction of Heritage site of Budhha Statues in Afganistan is irony in itself. This four tire social ladder with Brahmin at top and Shudra at bottom with Khsatriya and Vaishya in between dates back by several centuries before dawn of Budhhism era. Unfortunately the system is not stone statues craved in line from mountain that can be destructed with cannon balls. Merits and demerits of four tire social hirarchy is matter to be dealt separately at length some other time. Suffice to draw attention to the fact that the system has shown enough resilience to last for several centuries and several dynasties and several rules.
Throws light on the mind sets of behavior between Officer and soldier not only Pakistan Army but almost every where in the world. Very recently the same paper carried an article lauding officers allowing use of Golf Ground to common soldiers and cheering them from side. ( Note not playing but just cheering ).
The names may differ but fact remains that no society has ever created order of equality not withstanding french revolution or communism. Who can forget wars between Kings and Popes for supremacy ?
So co-existing of Taliban and Brahmin is really not out of order !!
